By way of deconstructing or retelling the story, one can find out what level of awareness and subjectivity the women of the story enjoy. The main theme of the story is the flow of internal dialogue. But the greatest struggle that calls the main character (Hasti) fighting to find herself, are her experiences in her emotional life (the dilemma of Salim-Murad). The story analysis showed that the main character of the story comes to self-consciousness in the process of her spiritual and thought evolution. این پژوهش با بررسی رمان­های جزیره‏ی سرگردانی و ساربان سرگردان سیمین دانشور در پی تحلیل موقعیت اجتماعی و میزان خودآگاهی زن در جدال با ساختارهای سنتی و مدرن در جامعه معاصر ایران است. شاخص­های مدرنیته و جدال دائمی زن در برخورد با این شاخص­ها بررسی می­گردد.با روش واسازی یا روایت مجدد داستان می­توان پی­برد که زنان داستان از چه میزان خودآگاهی و سوژه­بودگی برخوردارند. مضمون اصلی دو کتاب؛ جریان گفت­وگوی درونی است. اما بزرگترین کشاکشی که شخصیت اصلی (هستی) را به مبارزه برای پیدا کردن خود می­خواند، تجربه­های او در زندگی احساسی (دوراهی سلیم ـ مراد) است.تحلیل داستان نشان می­دهد که شخصیت اصلی داستان در فرایندی از تحول روحی‏ و فکری از سرگردانی به خودآگاهی؛ می­رسد. http://womenstudy.ihcs.ac.ir/article_3510_4cabd3d12ca64ad95dafbb477bbf5055.pdf
