The purpose of current study was to assess the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy ‎(MBCT) on emotion regulation difficulties and resilience among divorced women. It was a ‎quasi-experimental research with a pre-test/ post-test and follow-up control group design. The sample consisted of 30 divorced women selected through a convenient sampling method and divided into two intervention and control groups (n=15). Both groups ‎were pre-tested using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC; Connor and Davidson, 2003) and ‎Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (Gratz and Roemer, 2004). Then, the experimental group received eight 90-minutes ‎MBCT sessions.
As completed, post-test and follow-up (one month later) assessments were performed. An analysis of covariance was used for data analysis. The results revealed that mindfulness training helps to regulate negative emotions and increase resilience in the group of women being studied
