This study was conducted using the grounded theory method to phenomenologically analyze the lived experience of married users, both men and women, in dating forums. For this end, using purposive sampling technique, semi-structured interviews on WhatsApp were conducted with 11 married members in dating forums and data were analyzed using Max QDA version 12. After combining, merging and comparing concepts, four common themes were identified among married male and female users, including: addiction to chat with the opposite sex, traditional family experience, chat as a remedy for loneliness, and chat as an entertainment and pastime. Also, two specific categories of married female users (concealment of marriage and avoidance of face-to-face visits) and two specific categories of married male users (sense of freedom to choose a second spouse and desire to have white marriage) were included. After analyzing the story line of the participants, the core category of “resistance against low satisfaction with marriage” was revealed.
