Considering the various components involved in the abortion rules in each country, many procedures can be distinguished in the world. Most countries have different attitudes toward abortion at different times. Social developments and women's participation in the social and economic spheres have led to inconsistencies in theoretical and practical aspects, and women abort usually regardless of criminal laws. Legal issues of abortion can include the threat to mother's life, fetal disorders and sexual assault. In this article, from a legal jurisprudential point of view, we attempt to address briefly the issue of abortion in Iran and also compare the criminal laws of Iran with Japan's criminal law.
