		<Abstract>The goal of this research is to compare internet addiction among male and female students of universities in Tehran. Participants of the study were 1500 students who were selected randomly from students in Tehran, of Allameh Tabatabaee, Amirkabir, Sharif, Alzahra and Elmosanat universities. Ten classes were selected randomly from each university. Students of these classes were participants of research. Participants completed Yang internet addiction and demographic characteristic tests. Data indicate that female students were more addicted than male students. Students of technical schools were more addicted than students of other schools. Also, non dormitory students were more addicted than dormitory students. Furthermore, 8.3 percent of the overall students were addicted to internet (9.5% girls and 8.3% boys), and 10.8 percent of the participants were revealed to be vulnerable to internet addiction.</Abstract>
