Nowadays, debating women studies is highly important as an interdisciplinary and precious field in determining, evaluating and promoting the status of this large-scale group in the world. Focusing on the prominent view of Islamic teachings on the honoring of women, along with the pathology of experienced human situations, has gave the scientific reference group mainly as researchers and scholars, serious responsibility for conducting systematic research.

Regarding this, Social Sciences Research department of IHCS tries to expand the fields of exploration and research about women and family in Iranian society by publishing Women’s Studies Quarterly and examines various aspects of this issue from domestic and international experts’ point of views.

The general approach of the journal is to publish articles in the field of women and family from the perspective of social sciences with the following priorities:

• Pathology and providing solutions for women and family issues, especially in the field of humanities
• Examining and presenting new findings in the theoretical fields of women and family issues from a native-religious point of view
• Identifying the needs, abilities of women, the fields of presence as well as the obstacles and harms experienced by them in the phases of development in Iran.
