Semantic implications of educational inequalities among women in Salavat Abad district

Abstract

The aim of the present research is to provide an analysis of women's semantic implications of educational inequality in the villages of Salvat Abad village, Sanandaj city. Critical theories in the field of educational inequality and the theories of Bourdieu, Apple, Coleman and Illich have been the theoretical foundations of this research. Also, with the qualitative approach and below it, the method of narrative analysis, the semantic implications of 33 women about educational inequality and its consequences with purposeful sampling and have been addressed with a semi-structured interview strategy. The findings include 231 major categories, 26 core categories and 7 main categories. The analysis of the main categories shows that the patriarchal system is still an inevitable factor in the formation of the position and role of women in the society and consequently effective in their education. This situation has caused cultural and social restrictions including early marriage and gender inequality in education.. The lack of rural facilities and the reduction of government support have aggravated the educational inequality in the villages, and finally these factors cause despair for change and consequently; Their social deprivation is the benefit of education.
