women are recognized as elite and influential contributors in research. Many major scientific achievements are attributed to the efforts of women, who approach complex problems from diverse perspectives and employ innovative methods.
Methodology: Data on the publication of scientific documents, female labor force participation rate, proportion of seats held by women in national parliaments, women with advanced education, property rights for women, life expectancy, and population for 12 countries were collected from the Scimago database, the Social Progress Index, and the World Bank. To examine the impact of these variables on the publication of scientific documents, a panel data approach was applied, and analyses were conducted using EViews12 software.
Findings: Panel data estimates for the period 2011–2021 indicated that female labor force participation rate, proportion of seats held by women in national parliaments, and women with advanced education in selected Middle Eastern countries have a significant positive effect on the publication of scientific documents.
Conclusion: Since the publication of scientific documents is influenced by female labor force participation rate, proportion of seats held by women in national parliaments, and women with advanced education, attention to these social factors is essential to enhance scientific output.
