The present research problem is rooted in the "identity crisis" of transitional societies Identity crisis is a product of structural changes in society, the lack of development of the value system in general, and the values of the identity of society in particular. The existence and continuity of this phenomenon in the society leads to tension and discrimination, and the manpower of society is aggravated. Consequently, gender identity needs to be redefined, and a new value system should be replaced by values related to gender roles.
Due to the nature of the process and communicational of the identity, the redefinition of gender identity should be done by the individuals themselves. thus, cyberspace in the general sense and virtual social networks in the special sense of the word, due to the fact that they have created a new communication space for humans, are, in the field of opinion, an important factor for redefining gender identity.
That's it Today, cyberspace has become widespread in society, the study of the role of virtual social networks in redefining gender identity.The research method is important. Therefore, the main question of the research is to investigate the relationship between cyberspace (Instagram) and redefining gender identity. The research method was quantitative and specifically scrolling and a questionnaire was used to collect information. The obtained data indicate that there is a direct and significant relationship between the duration of membership in the Instagram, the use of the Instagram, and finally the motivation and purpose of using the network and redefining gender identity
